Barn End House is a stunning holiday home, tastefully decorated and renovated to a high standard with a superb open plan living space. Located in the bustling village of Bampton, this fabulous property is perfect for get together with loved ones or friends.
The space
The property is located in the same village the famous TV drama Downton Abbey was filmed. It has been carefully renovated into a modern country home. Barn End is a stunning example of modern restoration that has been lovingly curated to provide the perfect Cotswold holiday cottage which sleeps seven guests, 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms (1 en-suite) & 1 WC. Throughout the property there are hints of beautiful exposed oak beams, cotswolds stone and a cosy wood burner that takes centre stage in the open plan living area. Outside we have 2 charming gardens, to the front of the property we have a small secluded aree with chair seating making it the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine and enjoy the last of the sun! We are a dog friendly holiday home that welcomes well behaved dogs.

The thriving village of Bampton lies in the Thames Valley in the southern Cotswolds, amidst beautiful Oxfordshire countryside. Bampton is one of the oldest villages in England boasting a village shop, Post Office, butcher, coffee shop and traditional pubs serving good food and real ales, all set around a pretty market square. Just four miles away is the riverside town of Witney, which offers many attractions including a weekly market dating back to the Middle Ages, an 18th century town hall, and Wychwood Brewery.
Award winning local amenities within five minutes include the original Blake’s Bakery, the famous Double Red Duke & Masons Arms pubs/restaurants.
Long dog walks in surrounding countryside, with plenty of dog-friendly pubs. Local family days out include Buscot Park, Blenheim Palace, Cotswold Wildlife Park & the Cotswold country park. Burford garden centers are must visits.
For the adventurous:
Water sports (paddle boarding & kayaking) and boat hire available locally in Lechlade & Radcot. The Cotswolds country park is the largest UK inland beach & home to Aqua Venture. Visit their website for seasonal opening times and facilities. Easy access to the Thames walkway for self directed paddle boarding, swimming, rowing & kayaking.
